Digital press events, showcases and livestreams full of great new games are now the normal everyday life of every gamer who wants to be up-to-date. Among them, the state of play has been mixed for several years, a show that is often meant to give in addition to blockbusters, even small and medium-sized projects a platform.
While even small indie highlights were there and you were pleased to see them, the current state of play can hardly show something worthy. At the same time, Sony creates the games that I m really looking forward to portraying.

The games of the State of Play
Deathverse is a Battle-Royal Spin-Off of the Survival Game Let It s that nobody needs. Source: Grasshopper Manufacture The start makes a game that would have earned the name Again a Battle Royal. Deathverse: Let it neither look good, nor does it offer what you can look forward to. The new Gimmick is a kind of social media show and you get a LIKE display for every hitch.
This is play-mechanically nothing groundbreaking, because style points have been played in games for a long time, such as in Devil May Cry. And also as a framework, it acts cubpted. Not only by hunger games, but also of existing Battle-Royal titles like Darvin Project. The mixture of a dirty world and colorful action acts so plump that the title - like many other genre representatives - invites you to forgotten.
A real band with real songs! Everything in a game! Sounds more about Crossmarketing than after fun and new is the idea not. Source: Team OFK This also applies to WE OFK. A game where you accompany a real band and stages your real songs. That does not sound so insanely interesting and is also not a new idea, as the game RocketBoad pilot shows.
Other games of the genre like unattractive also look significantly better, and so the indie pop title presents itself less than fun pastime, but rather as a marketing tool.
At this point of the State of Play, the idea snaps already that this is an announcements that would otherwise not be touched with the thrust pliers. The whole presentation is under the heading We are irrelevant - do not forget us and so it goes on with a lame DLC for bugsnax.
LAME continued instead of new indie beads
In DLC to bugsnax, the beetle snacks are now wearing hats! Well then the purchase is worthwhile. Source:, Young Horses The fact that in the DLC called BigSnax is greatly announced that the edible beetles are wearing hats now, says a lot. So really pretty, the game is not and who has not had a leisure until now, try it, it will certainly not do it now. If no new, interesting indie title developed for Playstation? Hardly imaginable.
Five Nights at Freddy s may be interesting for fans of the series, but is also no announcement worth because it has long been seen anyone who is interested. Although new gameplay and a release date seem quite nice, but a State of Play have independent works just as well.
Really fascinating is the trailer for Death s Door, a game that is already published for Xbox and PC. During the Reveal trailer during Devolver Digital Showcase grabbed me at the time, the game in the State of Play looks out of place and boring. It s up to the game that I actually great find, or rubs off the disappointment of the event on the feathered protagonists?
Why does this game? Apparently Sony will have their own Mario Kart and has accepted the first offer that was offered to them. Source: Nexon Korea irritation creeps a while now following arcade racer who tries with cool background music to convey fun of the feeling. Mario Kart ordered at Wish is the thing that comes to mind.
While me even the name escapes sheer irrelevance, I remember that there will be a free beta from which the game will probably never come out. So, I nachgeguckt, KartRider drift is the thing.
King of Fighters 15, however, is a real surprise. Not only because I have never heard of the turn, but also because the whole concept including graphic will not appear very modern. Also, this looks more like something that fans may certainly interest, but what does that look at the state of play? I do not see an indie highlight, but the xth part of a series that looks out of time. If the game was so interesting, then we would have to see one of the earlier parts on an earlier presentation. For me, the title feels like gaps filler.
Sony and her desperation matter
Sony s life-prolonged measures for half-dead IPs does not take his end at this point. So you dug in the swamp of the forgotten ear-access titles and First Class Trouble is swept as a watery freshly crumpled in Sony s Livestream.
First Class Trouble looks like Among US third-person perspective. The early-access community is not what you could call lively. Source: Invisible Walls Online Social Deduction Game is basically Among US in Third Person, including bad balancing and a barely existing early access community. Already this year in November, it also appears via PlayStation Plus and the additional announcement in the stream is at best the defibrillator, with which you try First Class Trouble again a chance.
Perhaps the best game of the State of Play is the new part of Star Ocean, which it would have done better, it would have been announced off the stream. In anticipation of Finalfantasy16, Japanese role play fans were probably not very happy to get something else.
The title suffers from the rest of the show and can no longer rip the rudder at this time. The boredom and the annoyance about the event is now transferring to all games - the opposite of what the state of play is supposed to actually. I would have been pleased in another context about the game and taken it as an opportunity to look at it more closely, now I associate with the title that (alleged) is so bad that it is likely to classify this state of play.
A glimpse of hope
The last game, Little Devil Inside, which actually showed something new and may end up only in the end to attend the spectators, goes quasi. The attention champion for games that do not care about is unfortunately limited and much else is not available. Since Little Devil Inside can still look as sweet and present cool gameplay, the train was driven off for this state of play.
Of course, one can argue that it is not a showcase for great new titles, but just about the state of the current games and in this case only Third-Party.
But if the stand is so bad and you have nothing to show from the concern - why are this state of play then anyway and would not have published the trailers individually? Sony will surely have its reasons, but as a viewer is the thing for the bucket.
